Hair of the Dog is an independently run grooming salon situated in the picturesque village of Bulmer, Sudbury Suffolk. Run by a qualified fear free grooming professional, your furry family members are guaranteed a warm, friendly and stress free grooming experience.

At Hair of the dog I am proud of my approach to grooming, every groom is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, I won’t rush, I’m not forceful and if a dog doesn’t like the way I am doing something, I will find another way. I want all the dogs I groom to enjoy their experience and want to come back.

I understand that grooming can be an anxious time for some dogs and therefore welcome new clients to visit me for a free “meet and treat” session in order to build positive associations with the salon, equipment and me, prior to any actual grooming taking place. If a dog suffers with extreme anxiety a full consultation will take place in order to establish the best approach, going forward – I can offer settling in sessions, part grooms and staggered grooms if necessary.
